October 11th "Just Play"

Using Sport For Social Change, in conjunction with the St. John Parks and Recs, and the St. John Community Foundation is holding it's Second Annual "Just Play" Field day on October 11, 2010 in Cruz Bay, St. John. This free event for youth ages 2-18 (2-5 yrs to be accompanied by parent) will be an all day event, from 9:00am until 3:30pm.

Using Sports For Social Change In partnership with Nike, Inc. provides sports activities and equipment to youths up to age 18.


Dial-A-Ride @ 643-7335

St. John Dial-A-Ride – A transportation service for the senior and disabled community of St. John and the island’s visitors. Our primary source of funding is through the Virgin Islands Legislative Funds managed by the Department of Human Services, and a United Way grant. Fares and individual contributions are also needed to fund this program.

Help Recycle! Call 693-9410

Adopt-A-BIn and help residents recycle aluminum cans across the island. SJCF partners with the Resource, Conservation and Development Council (RC&D), the Recycling Association of the Virgin Islands (RAVI) and Storage on Site for the purpose of recycling aluminum cans. The Foundation, also in cooperation with RAVI is working on the plans for glass and other recycling on St. John. This highly successful program will continue for many years to come with continued help of dedicated volunteers.
